April 16-17, 2018 in Washington, D.C.

An exclusive invitation for IAFN members*

Please join the IAFN for two-days of education and lobbying in Washington, D.C., as we amplify the voices of forensic nurses on the Hill.

Please, contact board President Courtney Bouthilet, courtney@stcroixvalleysart.org by March 10 if you wish to attend.

Day One (Leadership Day) will help forensic nurses develop their voices to better communicate to legislators, funders and other supporters the work we do and our impact on patients and communities. Earn up to 8.5 contact hours. All experience levels are welcome

Day Two (Lobby Day)
we take to the Hill, using the skills developed on day one to talk with legislators and their staff about the issues important to forensic nurses and the patients for whom we care. No prior lobbying experience is needed. Not sure you feel comfortable lobbying solo? We can pair you with a more experienced colleague to mentor you in the process. Our goal is to have #100ForensicRNs on the Hill.

·         Please note that this event is exclusively for IAFN Members who are nurses/forensic nurses. Not a Regular Member of IAFN? Join now before you Register. Be sure to sign in using your IAFN username and password before registering. If you need assistance please email mraso@ForensicNurses.org.

Attendees will get 8.5 contact hours and a chance to take to the Hill about all things forensic nursing!  This is an opportunity for individuals in the field of forensic nursing to ensure a long line of forensic nurses for the future through training/succession training.

*This opportunity is limited to full members who are nurses.
