Wisconsin Chapter- IAFN

Practicing and Promoting the Profession of Forensic Nursing

Have you ever thought about being on our Board? It’s almost Election time!

In preparation of our upcoming Board of Directors election in November, please review the open positions and consider one of these for yourself!  You may nominate yourself or one of your peers, please make sure you ask their permission prior to submitting your nomination. If you require a letter of support directed to your supervisor  or managing agency, please let the current board know. We would be happy to write about the importance of these positions, as well as all the experiences and resources it can bring to your program.

Please know that each member of the current board has stepped into an unfamiliar role and made it their own. These roles do not require experience, but interest and passion to move our Chapter forward.  To learn more about the specific roles and responsibilities of each of the soon to be open positions, please view the discriptions under our Meet the Board tab.

  • Treasurer: 2 years
  • Director-at-Large: 2 Years
  • President-Elect: 3 Years (President Elect -> President -> Immediate Past President)
  • Additionally, a need for Nomination Committee Volunteers, consisting of 2-3 people to assist the President-Elect and Secretary in organizing the election and counting nomination ballots during (and absentee ballots before) the meeting in November. This committee will need to be formed soon and would typically entail some emails and a few short phone calls. If you are interested, please email by CLICKING HERE. We will be calling for committee volunteers during this upcoming Chapter meeting on Thursday to get the ball rolling!

It is an exciting time of year, and I am looking forward to challenging you even more to be a part of our team. Thank you for considering a position on the WI-IAFN Board of Directors, and thank you for all the great work you do!
