March is Brain Injury Awareness Month

As forensic nurses, you will have a high chance of caring for a patient that has suffered some form of brain injury. Weather it is from blunt force trauma, stroke or even prolonged emotional abuse, a victim or survivor can have lifelong affects because of that abuse. It is our duty to be up to date on what to look for and advocate implementing the focused care needed to prevent future brain related trauma.
