Harbor House Domestic Abuse-Helen Kelly Conference 2017

The presentation will allow the audience to better understand the substantial impact of domestic violence, better understand the emotional and physical effects of domestic violence, along with discuss and understand the medical screening process when dealing with a domestic violence victim. They will also learn how to increase ability to “Recognize, Respond, & Refer”  to patients who present as victims of domestic violence.

Tracy Plamann is the Community Education Coordinator at in Appleton, Wisconsin. Tracy has been with Harbor House for over 12 years. In her time at Harbor House Tracy has served on a number of local and state committees. (End Abuse  Children’s & Youth Committee; End Abuse  Health Care Committee; End Abuse/ WCASA LGBT Committee; IPV Advisory Committee – End Abuse and WCASA; Voices of Men – Mentor committee; Out of School Time Coalition; Child Protection /Harbor House MOU Liaison; Executive Steering Committee for the Outagamie County Crossover Youth Integration Project, and on the planning committee for the Outagamie County Trauma Program.) In her present position Tracy does presentations and trainings about domestic violence in health care, law enforcement, workforce violence, violence within the faith community, the effects of DV on children and in the LGBYQ community.
